Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place unit on a stable, level surface.

  1. Connect power: Plug the detachable power cord into the unit and a standard 120V AC outlet.
  2. Extend antenna: Fully extend the FM wire antenna and position the AM loop antenna for best reception.
  3. Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK SET, then use TUNE/TIME SET buttons to set correct time.
  4. Connect auxiliary device (optional): Use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect your device to the AUX IN jack.

WARNING! Place unit away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and moisture. Ensure proper ventilation.

First-Time Operation

Press POWER button to turn on the unit.

  1. Select source: Press RADIO button for AM/FM, or AUX button for external audio.
  2. Tune radio: Press BAND to select AM or FM. Use TUNE/TIME SET buttons or remote to find a station.
  3. Set presets: Tune to desired station, press and hold a numbered PRESET button (1-6) until display confirms.
  4. Adjust volume: Use VOLUME knob or remote buttons.
  5. Set alarms: Press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button, then use controls to set time and source (radio/tone).

CAUTION! Do not block the rear waveguide port. This is essential for proper sound output.

Connecting External Devices

Use the AUX IN jack to play audio from smartphones, tablets, or computers.

  1. Ensure Wave Radio and external device are powered off.
  2. Connect one end of a standard 3.5mm audio cable to the headphone/line-out jack of your device.
  3. Connect the other end to the AUX IN jack on the back of the Wave Radio.
  4. Turn on both devices.
  5. Press the AUX button on the radio or remote to select the auxiliary input.
  6. Start playback on your external device and adjust volume on the Wave Radio.

Tip: For best sound quality, set your external device's volume to about 75% and use the Wave Radio's volume control for final adjustment.

Using the Alarm & Clock

The system features two independent alarms.

  1. Set Alarm Time: Press and hold ALARM 1 or ALARM 2. Use TUNE/TIME SET buttons to set hour and minute. Press ALARM button again to confirm.
  2. Set Alarm Source: While setting time, press BAND to toggle between waking to RADIO or BUZZER (tone).
  3. Activate/Deactivate: Press the respective ALARM button briefly to toggle that alarm ON or OFF (icon shows on display).
  4. Snooze: When alarm sounds, press any button (except POWER) for 9 minutes of additional sleep.
  5. Sleep Timer: Press SLEEP on remote repeatedly to cycle through durations (90, 60, 45, 30, 15 mins). Radio will turn off automatically.

Note: If power is lost, you will need to reset the clock and alarm times.

Radio Operation

For AM/FM listening.

  1. Press RADIO button to select radio mode.
  2. Press BAND to toggle between AM and FM.
  3. Tune Manually: Use TUNE/TIME SET buttons (or TUNE UP/DOWN on remote).
  4. Use a Preset: Press one of the numbered PRESET buttons (1-6) for a saved station.
  5. Save a Preset: Tune to desired station. Press and hold a PRESET button (1-6) until the display flashes.
  6. Improve Reception: Reposition the FM wire antenna or rotate the AM loop antenna. Move unit location if necessary.

WARNING! Do not use the radio near strong electromagnetic sources (e.g., microwaves, computers) to avoid interference.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug unit before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the cabinet and display. For stubborn marks, dampen cloth slightly with water only.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or sprays. Never allow liquid to enter the vents or openings. Keep the waveguide port unobstructed.
