Initial Setup & Charging

Before first use, fully charge the speaker.

  1. Place speaker on charging cradle: Align contacts on bottom of speaker with pins on cradle.
  2. Connect USB cable: Plug small end into cradle, other end into USB power adapter.
  3. Plug adapter into wall outlet: Charging begins automatically.
  4. Check battery lights: All three lights will illuminate sequentially when charging; solid lights indicate charge level when unplugged.
  5. Initial charge time: Approximately 3 hours for a full charge from empty.

CAUTION! Use only the provided Bose charging cradle and adapter. Do not expose to liquids.

Controls and Indicators

Top Panel: Multi-function button (power/pairing), Bluetooth button, Volume + and - buttons, Auxiliary input jack.

Battery Indicator Lights: Three white LEDs show battery level (1 light = low, 2 lights = medium, 3 lights = full). Flashing lights indicate charging status.

Voice Prompts: "Ready to connect" (power on), "Connected to " (paired), "Battery low" (needs charging), "Power off".

Multi-function Button: Press to turn on/off; press and hold to enter pairing mode; press to answer/end calls when connected to a phone.

Bluetooth Pairing

Pair with your Bluetooth device for wireless audio.

  1. Turn on speaker: Press Multi-function button; voice prompt says "Ready to connect".
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your device: Go to Bluetooth settings on phone/tablet/computer.
  3. Select "Bose SoundLink Mini": From your device's list of available Bluetooth devices.
  4. Confirm connection: Voice prompt says "Connected to ".
  5. For subsequent use: Speaker will automatically reconnect to last paired device when powered on if device is in range and Bluetooth is on.
  6. Pair additional devices: Press and hold Bluetooth button until voice prompt says "Ready to connect", then select from new device.

Tip: Ensure speaker is within 30 feet of your device without obstructions for best performance.

Playing Audio

Once paired, play audio from your connected device.

  1. Control playback: Use your source device (phone, tablet) to play, pause, skip tracks.
  2. Adjust volume: Use Volume + and - buttons on speaker or volume controls on your device.
  3. Manage calls: When connected to a phone, press Multi-function button to answer incoming calls; press again to end call.
  4. Check battery: Press any button briefly; battery lights will illuminate to show charge level.
  5. Auto power-off: Speaker turns off after 30 minutes of inactivity if not connected or playing audio.

WARNING! Do not expose speaker to high volumes for extended periods to prevent hearing damage.

Using the Auxiliary Input

Connect non-Bluetooth audio sources via the 3.5mm jack.

  1. Connect cable: Use a 3.5mm stereo audio cable (not included) between your audio source and the speaker's AUX IN jack.
  2. Turn on speaker: Press Multi-function button.
  3. Select auxiliary mode: Speaker automatically switches to auxiliary input when cable is connected.
  4. Play audio: Start playback on your connected device.
  5. Adjust volume: Use speaker volume buttons or source device volume controls.

Note: When auxiliary cable is connected, Bluetooth audio is temporarily disabled.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug charging cable before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth only; do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store in carrying case when not in use. For battery longevity, avoid fully discharging regularly; recharge when battery is low.
