Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface away from heat sources.

  1. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into power outlet and DC plug into radio.
  2. Insert backup batteries: Install 2 AA batteries in compartment for clock backup.
  3. Connect antenna: Extend FM wire antenna; position AM loop antenna for best reception.
  4. Position unit: Ensure at least 4 inches clearance on all sides for proper ventilation.

WARNING! Do not place near water or moisture. Use only Bose-approved power adapter.

First-Time Setup

Connect power; unit will enter setup mode.

  1. Set time: Press and hold CLOCK button, use TUNE/TIME SET buttons to adjust.
  2. Set alarms: Press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2, select source (radio, CD, or buzzer) and time.

Radio: TUNE manually or scan; store presets by holding PRESET button. CD: PLAY, PAUSE, STOP, SKIP tracks, REPEAT. Clock: Set time, alarms (radio, CD, buzzer). Tone: Adjust BASS and TREBLE independently. Sleep Timer: Set 15-90 minutes in 15-min increments.

Connecting Devices

Auxiliary Input: Connect external audio devices (MP3, smartphone, tablet).

  1. Turn off Wave Radio before connecting.
  2. Use 3.5mm stereo cable to connect device's headphone output to AUX IN jack.
  3. Select AUX source using front panel button or remote.
  4. Control volume from Wave Radio; start playback on connected device.

Tip: For best sound quality, set connected device volume to 75% and adjust with Wave Radio volume control.

Playing CDs

Supports audio CDs, CD-R, CD-RW (must be finalised).

  1. Insert disc: Press CD OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-side up.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; unit starts from track 1 automatically.
  3. Skip tracks: Press NEXT or PREVIOUS to skip forward/back.
  4. Pause: Press PAUSE; resume with PLAY.
  5. Stop: Press STOP; press again to return to beginning.
  6. Repeat: Press REPEAT to repeat current track or all tracks.
  7. Random play: Press SHUFFLE to play tracks in random order.
  8. Eject: Press CD OPEN/CLOSE during stop mode.

WARNING! Do not use damaged or irregularly shaped CDs. Keep CD compartment clean.

Radio Operation

AM/FM tuning with preset memory.

  1. Select band: Press BAND to toggle between AM and FM.
  2. Tune manually: Press TUNE up/down to find station.
  3. Auto-scan: Press and hold TUNE to scan for next strong station.
  4. Store presets: Tune to desired station, press and hold PRESET (1-6) until beep.
  5. Recall presets: Press PRESET button (1-6) for stored station.
  6. FM antenna: Position wire antenna for best reception (horizontal works best).
  7. AM antenna: Rotate loop antenna for clearest signal.

Note: For weak FM signals, connect external antenna to FM jack.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth for exterior. For stubborn marks, dampen cloth slightly with water.

CAUTION! Never use solvents, abrasives, or spray cleaners. Do not allow moisture into vents or controls.
