Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface away from heat sources.

  1. Connect antennas: Attach AM loop antenna to back panel; position FM wire antenna.
  2. Power connection: Plug AC adapter into unit and wall outlet (120V AC, 60Hz).
  3. Initial power on: Press POWER button on unit or remote.
  4. Position unit: Ensure at least 4 inches clearance on all sides for proper ventilation.

WARNING! Use only Bose-approved AC adapter. Do not place near water or heat sources.

First-Time Use

Power on unit; follow initial setup prompts.

  1. Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR/MINUTE buttons to set time.

Connecting Devices

Auxiliary input: Connect external audio source (MP3 player, tablet) using 3.5mm cable. Headphones: Plug into front panel jack.

  1. Ensure unit is powered on.
  2. Connect cable from device's headphone/line-out to AUX IN jack on back.
  3. Press AUX button on remote to select auxiliary input mode.
  4. Adjust volume on both device and Wave Radio for optimal level.

Tip: For best audio quality, set connected device's volume to 75% and adjust using Wave Radio volume control.

Playing Media

Supports audio CDs, radio, auxiliary input, Bluetooth audio.

  1. Insert CD: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-side up, press again to close.
  2. Play CD: Press PLAY; use SKIP for track navigation.
  3. Radio: Press AM/FM to select band, use TUNE or PRESET buttons.
  4. Repeat play: Press REPEAT during CD playback for single track or all tracks.
  5. Sleep timer: Press SLEEP repeatedly to set shut-off time (15, 30, 45, 60, 90 minutes).
  6. Mute: Press MUTE to silence audio; press again or adjust volume to restore.

WARNING! Do not touch laser lens; clean CDs with soft cloth from center outward.

Bluetooth Pairing

Pair with Bluetooth-enabled devices for wireless audio streaming.

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, computer).
  2. On Wave Radio, press and hold BLUETOOTH button until indicator flashes blue.
  3. On your device, select "Bose Wave Radio" from available Bluetooth devices.
  4. If prompted, enter pairing code "0000" (four zeros).
  5. Connection confirmed when indicator turns solid blue.

Note: Up to 8 devices can be paired; only one can be connected at a time. To reconnect, press BLUETOOTH button briefly.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth for exterior; avoid solvents or abrasives.

CD lens cleaning: Use commercial CD lens cleaner if playback issues occur.

CAUTION! Do not use liquid cleaners; never open unit casing. Service by qualified personnel only.
