Setup & Installation

Follow these steps to connect the adapter to your Bose Wave Radio.

  1. Power off your Bose Wave Radio before connecting any cables.
  2. Connect the 3.5mm audio cable from the adapter's AUDIO OUT to the Wave Radio's AUX INPUT jack.
  3. Connect the USB power cable to the adapter's MICRO-USB port and to a USB power source (computer, USB wall adapter, or Wave Radio USB port if available).
  4. Turn on your Bose Wave Radio and set the input source to AUX.
  5. Power on the Bluetooth adapter (LED will illuminate).

CAUTION! Ensure all connections are secure. Do not force connectors.

Pairing Your Device

Pair your Bluetooth device with the adapter for the first time.

  1. Ensure the adapter is powered on and your Wave Radio is set to AUX input.
  2. Press and hold the Pairing button on the adapter for 3 seconds until the LED flashes blue.
  3. On your Bluetooth device, go to Settings > Bluetooth and ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
  4. Select "Bose Wave BT Adapter" from the list of available devices.
  5. If prompted for a PIN, enter "0000" (four zeros).
  6. The LED will turn solid blue when successfully paired.

Tip: For subsequent use, the adapter will automatically reconnect to the last paired device when both are powered on and in range.

Operation & Playback

Once paired, stream audio from your device to your Bose Wave Radio.

  1. Ensure your Wave Radio is on and set to AUX input.
  2. On your Bluetooth device, start playing audio (music, podcast, etc.).
  3. Audio will automatically route through the adapter to your Wave Radio.
  4. Control playback (play/pause, volume, track selection) directly from your Bluetooth device.
  5. To pair an additional device: Press pairing button to enter pairing mode, then pair from the new device.
  6. To switch between paired devices: Disconnect from current device in Bluetooth settings, then connect from the desired device.

WARNING! Keep the adapter away from other wireless devices that may cause interference (microwaves, routers, cordless phones).

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the adapter before cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth only; do not use liquids or aerosols.

CAUTION! Do not expose to extreme temperatures, moisture, or direct sunlight. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
