Installation and Setup

Place the soundbar on a stable surface below your TV or mount it on the wall.

  1. Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into the soundbar and a wall outlet.
  2. Connect to TV: Use the HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT (ARC) port on the soundbar to the HDMI ARC port on your TV. For non-ARC TVs, use the optical audio cable.
  3. Power On: Press the Power button on the remote or soundbar. The LED will light up.
  4. ADAPTiQ Calibration: Put on the ADAPTiQ headset, press and hold the "Music" button on the remote for 5 seconds, and follow voice prompts.
  5. App Setup: Download the Bose SoundTouch app, follow in-app instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network and set up music services.

CAUTION! Ensure all connections are secure before powering on. Use the wall mount template if mounting.

Connecting to Your TV and Devices

  1. TV via HDMI ARC (Recommended): Connect HDMI cable from soundbar's HDMI OUT (ARC) to TV's HDMI ARC port. Set TV audio output to "ARC" or "External Speaker".
  2. TV via Optical Audio: Connect optical cable from soundbar to TV's optical output. Select "Optical" as input on soundbar.
  3. Bluetooth Device: Press and hold Bluetooth button on soundbar until LED blinks blue. Enable Bluetooth on your device and select "Bose SoundTouch 300".
  4. Auxiliary Device: Connect 3.5mm audio cable from device to AUX input on soundbar. Select "AUX" as input.

Tip: For best audio sync, use HDMI ARC. If using optical, you may need to adjust audio delay in your TV settings.

Using the SoundTouch App

The Bose SoundTouch app allows you to control music streaming and soundbar settings.

  1. Download the app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Open app and follow setup to connect soundbar to your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Add music services (Spotify, Amazon Music, etc.) and internet radio stations.
  4. Assign your favorite stations or playlists to the 6 preset buttons on the remote.
  5. Use the app to adjust bass, treble, and other audio settings.
  6. Group with other Bose SoundTouch speakers for multi-room audio.

Note: App requires iOS 10.0+ or Android 5.0+. Keep app and soundbar firmware updated.

Voice Control Setup

The SoundTouch 300 can be controlled via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant with additional devices.

  1. For Amazon Alexa: Use an Echo device. In the Alexa app, enable the Bose Skill and link your Bose account.
  2. For Google Assistant: Use a Google Home device. In the Google Home app, add Bose as a linked service.
  3. Once linked, use voice commands like "Alexa, play jazz on SoundTouch" or "Hey Google, turn up volume on SoundTouch."

Limitation: Voice control for power, volume, and basic playback. Full control requires the SoundTouch app.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the soundbar before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquids, sprays, or abrasive cleaners.

Keep the soundbar away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and moisture. Ensure vents are not blocked for proper ventilation.

CAUTION! Never open the cabinet; no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
