Getting Started

Charge the speaker fully before first use.

  1. Charge: Connect the USB cable to the speaker and power adapter, then plug into a wall outlet. The battery indicator will light.
  2. Power On: Press and hold the Power/Bluetooth button until you hear the power-on tone and see the battery indicator.
  3. Initial Pairing: Follow the voice prompts to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

Bluetooth Pairing

  3. On your device, select "Bose SoundLink [Model]" from the list of available devices.
  4. Once connected, you will hear "Connected to [device name]" and the light will glow solid white.
  5. For subsequent use, the speaker will usually reconnect automatically when powered on.

Tip: To pair with a new device, press and hold the Bluetooth button until you hear "Ready to connect" again.

Using Your Speaker

Supports music playback, phone calls, and auxiliary input.

  1. Play/Pause Music: Use the controls on your connected device, or press the Multi-function button once.
  2. Skip Tracks: Press and hold Volume Up to skip forward; press and hold Volume Down to skip back.
  3. Answer/End Calls: When a call comes in, press the Multi-function button once to answer; press again to end.
  4. Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-function button for two seconds.
  5. Switch to Private Listening: Connect headphones to the auxiliary input (if supported by model).
  6. Check Battery: Press the Power/Bluetooth button briefly. Voice prompt will announce level (High/Medium/Low).
  7. Stereo Pairing (with Bose Connect App): Use the app to wirelessly pair two compatible Bose speakers for stereo or party mode.

WARNING! Do not expose speaker to liquids beyond its rated IP specification. Do not use while charging in wet conditions.

Voice Assistant Integration

Access Siri or Google Assistant hands-free.

  1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to the speaker via Bluetooth.
  2. Activate your voice assistant by pressing and holding the Multi-function button on the speaker.
  3. Speak your command after hearing the tone (or your phone's prompt).
  4. Release the button to send the command.

Note: Voice assistant functionality depends on your smartphone's settings and capabilities.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug charging cable before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth only; do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Do not submerge the speaker unless it has a suitable IPX7 or IP67 rating. Avoid extreme heat, cold, or humidity. Store in a cool, dry place.
