Getting Started

Power on speaker and prepare for first use.

  1. Charge the speaker: Connect the USB-C cable to the speaker and power adapter. Plug into outlet. LED pulses white while charging, glows solid white when full.
  2. Power On/Off: Press and hold the Multi-function button until you hear the power prompt and the LED lights.
  3. Initial Bluetooth Pairing: On first power-up, the speaker enters pairing mode automatically (voice prompt: "Ready to connect").
  4. Connect to your device: Enable Bluetooth on your phone/tablet, select "Bose SoundLink Mini II" from the list.

Controls and Indicators

Primary control via the Multi-function button and status LED.

Multi-function Button: Press to play/pause music. Press twice to skip track. Press three times to go back. Press and hold to power on/off or enter pairing mode. Press to answer/end calls.

Status LED: Solid white = On/Charged. Pulsing white = Charging. Blinking blue = Bluetooth pairing mode. Solid blue = Connected to Bluetooth device. Blinking red = Low battery (less than 30 minutes remaining).

Volume: Use the volume buttons on your connected Bluetooth device.

Bluetooth Pairing & Connection

Connect to Bluetooth devices for wireless audio.

  1. Ensure speaker is powered on.
  2. Enter pairing mode: If not auto-pairing, press and hold the Multi-function button until the LED blinks blue and you hear "Ready to connect".
  3. On your source device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "Bose SoundLink Mini II".
  4. Confirm connection: Voice prompt says "Connected to [device name]" and LED turns solid blue.
  5. For subsequent use: The speaker will usually reconnect automatically to the last device when powered on.

Tip: To pair with a new device, ensure the speaker is not connected to another active device, or put it in pairing mode manually.

Using the Speakerphone

Make and receive calls hands-free.

  1. When a call comes in on your paired phone, the speaker will ring.
  2. Answer: Press the Multi-function button once.
  3. End Call: Press the Multi-function button once during the call.
  4. Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-function button for about 2 seconds.
  5. Switch Audio: During a call, you can switch the audio between the speaker and your phone using your phone's audio route options.

WARNING! For best microphone performance, place the speaker within 2 feet (0.6 m) and avoid covering the microphone area.

Bose Connect App

Enhance your speaker's functionality. Download the free Bose Connect app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

App Features: Manage Bluetooth connections, switch between paired devices, update speaker firmware, enable/disable voice prompts, stereo pairing mode (link two compatible Bose speakers), set auto-off timer, and access product support.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug charging cable before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. For stubborn stains, lightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use solvents or abrasives.

CAUTION! Do not submerge in water. The speaker is not waterproof. Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight for extended periods.
