Getting Started

Prepare your speaker for first use.

  1. Charge the battery: Connect USB cable to speaker and AC adapter, plug into outlet. LED pulses amber while charging, turns off when full.
  2. Power on: Press and hold Power button until LED glows white and you hear power-on tone.
  3. Initial pairing: Press Bluetooth button until LED blinks blue and voice prompt says "Ready to pair."
  4. Enable Bluetooth on your device, select "Bose SoundLink Mini" from list.

CAUTION! Use only the provided Bose AC adapter and USB cable for charging.

Controls and Indicators

All controls are located on top of the speaker. Status LED is near Power button.

Buttons: Power (on/off, pairing), Bluetooth (manage connections), Volume +, Volume -, Aux (switch to wired input).

LED Indicators: Solid white (power on), blinking blue (pairing mode), solid blue (connected), pulsing amber (charging), solid amber (charged), blinking red (low battery), solid red (battery critical/error). Voice Prompts: Announce device name, connection status, battery level, and pairing instructions.

Pairing with Devices

Connect to Bluetooth-enabled audio sources.

  1. Turn on speaker (LED solid white).
  2. Press Bluetooth button until LED blinks blue and voice prompt says "Ready to pair."
  3. On your device, enable Bluetooth and select "Bose SoundLink Mini" from discovered devices list.
  4. Voice prompt will say "Connected to [device name]" when successful.

Tip: To pair additional devices, repeat steps 2-3. Speaker stores up to 6 devices.

Using the Speaker

Wireless and wired audio playback.

  1. Play audio: Once connected, play music from your device. Use device or speaker volume controls.
  2. Switch between paired devices: Pause audio on first device, play on second device.
  3. Use auxiliary input: Connect 3.5mm cable from audio source to AUX port. Press Aux button to switch input.
  4. Adjust volume: Press Volume + or - buttons on speaker.
  5. Mute: Press Volume - until minimum volume is reached.
  6. Check battery: Press Bluetooth button once; voice prompt announces battery level.

WARNING! Do not expose speaker to liquids or extreme temperatures.

Charging the Battery

Charge using included USB cable and AC adapter.

  1. Connect micro-USB end to charging port on back of speaker.
  2. Connect USB end to AC adapter, plug into wall outlet.
  3. LED pulses amber during charging, turns off when fully charged (approx. 3 hours).
  4. Unplug charger when not in use to conserve energy.

CAUTION! Use only Bose-approved charging accessories. Do not attempt to replace battery.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug charger before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth to wipe exterior. For stubborn marks, dampen cloth slightly with water.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents, abrasives, or compressed air. Keep ports free of debris.

Troubleshooting
