Charging the Headphones

Before first use, fully charge the headphones.

  1. Connect the USB-C cable to the port on the bottom of the right earcup.
  2. Plug the other end into a USB power adapter (not included) or computer USB port.
  3. The LED indicator will glow amber while charging and turn solid white when fully charged (approx. 2.5 hours).
  4. For battery preservation, avoid leaving headphones plugged in for extended periods after full charge.

CAUTION! Use only the provided USB-C cable or a certified replacement. Do not use damaged cables.

Access functions via physical buttons and touch-sensitive right earcup.

Physical Buttons: POWER/BLUETOOTH (press to turn on/off, press and hold for pairing), NOISE CANCELLATION (toggle ANC On/Off/Transparency Mode).

Touch Controls (Right Earcup): Tap once to play/pause or answer/end call; double-tap to skip forward; triple-tap to skip back; swipe up/down to adjust volume; swipe forward/back to seek; press and hold for voice assistant.

Pairing with Devices

Pair with smartphones, tablets, or computers via Bluetooth.

  1. Turn on headphones by sliding POWER switch to the right. A voice prompt will say "Ready to connect."
  2. On your device, enable Bluetooth in settings.
  3. Select "Bose SoundLink II" from the list of available devices.
  4. If prompted, enter PIN "0000" (four zeros). A "Connected" voice prompt confirms pairing.
  5. For multipoint pairing: With first device connected, enter pairing mode again and connect second device.

Tip: For wired connection, plug the 3.5mm audio cable into the headphone jack and your device. This automatically turns off Bluetooth.

Using the Bose Connect App

Enhance your experience with the free Bose Connect app (iOS/Android).

  1. Download and install the Bose Connect app from your device's app store.
  2. Open the app and follow on-screen instructions to connect your headphones.
  3. App features: Manage Bluetooth connections, adjust noise cancellation level, set auto-off timer, update firmware, customize voice prompts, and access product support.
  4. Check regularly for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance.

WARNING! Ensure your device has sufficient battery before starting firmware updates. Do not turn off headphones during update.

Voice Assistant Setup

Access Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa hands-free.

  1. Ensure headphones are connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
  2. Install the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa app on your phone and complete initial setup.
  3. In the Bose Connect app, navigate to Settings > Voice Assistant and select your preferred assistant.
  4. Press and hold the touch control on the right earcup to activate the assistant. Release to speak your command.
  5. To disable, return to the Bose Connect app and select "None."

Care & Maintenance

Unplug all cables before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth only; do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.

To clean ear cushions: Gently remove cushions by pulling outward. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and let air dry completely before reattaching.

CAUTION! Do not immerse headphones in water. Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Store in travel case when not in use.
