Getting Started

Charge the headset fully before first use.

  1. Charging: Connect the USB cable to the headset and a power source (computer or USB wall adapter). The indicator light will glow amber while charging and turn off when fully charged.
  2. Power On/Off: Slide and hold the Power/Bluetooth button for 2 seconds. You will hear a voice prompt "Power on" or "Power off".
  3. Initial Pairing: After powering on, the headset enters pairing mode automatically (blinking blue light). Enable Bluetooth on your device and select "Bose SoundLink" from the list.

Pairing with Devices

Pair with smartphones, tablets, computers, and other Bluetooth audio sources.

  1. Turn on the headset (slide and hold Power button).
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your source device.
  3. On your device, select "Bose SoundLink" from the list of available Bluetooth devices.
  4. If prompted, enter the passkey "0000" (four zeros).
  5. You will hear "Connected to [device name]" upon successful pairing.

Multipoint Pairing: To connect a second device, ensure the headset is connected to the first device. Enter pairing mode (press Power button once) and pair the second device from its Bluetooth menu. The headset will manage connections to both.

Tip: For best performance, keep the source device within 33 feet and minimize obstructions.

Using Your Headset

For music, calls, and voice assistant.

  1. Music Playback: Use the Multi-function button to Play/Pause. Use Volume buttons to adjust level. Press and hold Volume Up to skip forward, Volume Down to skip back.
  2. Answering Calls: Press the Multi-function button once to answer an incoming call. Press again to end the call.
  3. Rejecting Calls: Press and hold the Multi-function button for 2 seconds during an incoming call.
  4. Voice Assistant: Press and hold the Multi-function button to activate Siri, Google Assistant, or other default voice assistant on your paired phone.
  5. Wired Mode: Connect the audio cable from the headset's 3.5mm port to your device's headphone jack. The headset will play audio without using battery power for Bluetooth.

WARNING! Do not use at high volume levels for extended periods to prevent hearing damage. Be aware of your surroundings when using in public areas.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug all cables before cleaning.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the headset with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
  2. Earpads: If removable, gently clean with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Allow to dry completely before reattaching.
  3. Storage: Store in the provided carrying case when not in use. Avoid extreme heat, cold, or humidity.
  4. Battery: For long-term storage, charge the battery to about 50% and power off. Recharge fully every 6 months.
