Controls and Indicators

System: Power button on rear. Status LED (front): Green = On/Charging, Amber = Standby/Charge Complete, Flashing = Error/No Device.

Remote: POWER, VOLUME +/-, PLAY/PAUSE, TRACK +/-, MUTE (if applicable).

Operation: Dock your device for automatic audio routing. Use remote for primary control. Volume adjusts both system output and, on some models, the device volume simultaneously. The status LED provides feedback on power and charging state.

Connecting Your Device

iPod/iPhone: Use the dock with appropriate adapter. Auxiliary: Use 3.5mm cable from other device's headphone jack to SoundDock AUX IN.

  1. Ensure SoundDock is powered on.
  2. For dock: Insert device firmly. For AUX: Connect cable and select 'AUX' mode if required (some models auto-detect).
  3. Start playback on the source device.

Tip: For best audio quality, set the source device volume to about 75% and use the SoundDock remote for final volume adjustment.

Using the Remote Control

Point the remote at the front of the SoundDock (IR sensor).

  1. Power: Turns system on/off (places docked device in standby).
  2. Play/Pause: Controls playback of docked iPod/iPhone.
  3. Track +/-: Skips to next or previous song.
  4. Volume +/-: Increases or decreases sound level.
  5. Mute: Instantly silences audio (if function available).

Note: Remote functions may vary slightly depending on the docked iPod/iPhone model and software version.

Auxiliary Input

Connect non-Apple devices via the 3.5mm AUX IN jack on the rear.

  1. Use a standard 3.5mm stereo audio cable.
  2. Connect one end to the headphone/output jack of your device.
  3. Connect the other end to the AUX IN on the SoundDock.
  4. The SoundDock may automatically switch to the auxiliary source when a cable is connected and audio is detected.
  5. Control playback and volume primarily from the source device.

WARNING! Do not connect the AUX input to a line-level output that exceeds standard consumer audio levels.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the power cord before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or aerosols. Do not allow moisture to enter any openings. Keep the dock connector clean and free of debris.
