Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into power input and wall outlet.
  2. Place iPod/iPhone: Insert device into dock connector (use adapter if needed).
  3. Connect auxiliary source: Use 3.5mm audio cable to Aux input jack.

First-Time Setup

Power on system; follow indicator prompts.

  1. Select source: Press SOURCE button to cycle through Dock, Bluetooth, Aux.

No user-adjustable audio settings (Bose-tuned performance). Remote requires line-of-sight to front IR sensor.

Connecting Devices

Dock: Insert iPod/iPhone directly. Bluetooth: Pair via device settings. Aux: Use 3.5mm cable.

  1. Turn on SoundDock and select desired source.
  2. For dock: Ensure device is compatible and fully seated.
  3. For Bluetooth: Enable pairing on SoundDock, then select "Bose SoundDock 10" on your device.
  4. For Aux: Connect cable from device's headphone jack to Aux input.

Tip: For best Bluetooth range, keep device within 10 meters (33 feet) without obstructions.

Playing Music

Supports audio playback from docked iPod/iPhone, Bluetooth devices, and Aux input.

  1. Select source: Use SOURCE button to choose Dock, Bluetooth, or Aux.
  2. Control playback: Use remote or device controls (for Bluetooth/Aux).
  3. Adjust volume: Use VOLUME buttons on unit or remote.
  4. Pause: Press PLAY/PAUSE on remote.
  5. Skip tracks: Use PREV/NEXT buttons on remote (works with docked iPod/iPhone).
  6. Mute: Press MUTE on remote; press again to restore volume.

WARNING! Do not expose to liquids; keep small objects away from speaker ports.

Bluetooth Pairing

To pair a Bluetooth device:

  1. Press and hold SOURCE button on SoundDock until LED blinks blue.
  2. On your device, enable Bluetooth and select "Bose SoundDock 10" from list.
  3. If prompted, enter PIN "0000".
  4. LED turns solid blue when connected.

To disconnect, turn off Bluetooth on device or select another source on SoundDock. SoundDock remembers last paired device.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen cloth with water.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents, abrasives, or sprays. Do not allow moisture into openings.
