Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Connect power: Plug AC power cord into SoundDock and wall outlet.
  2. Select dock adapter: Choose correct Universal Dock Adapter for your iPod/iPhone model.
  3. Install adapter: Snap adapter into dock connector on SoundDock.
  4. Connect auxiliary device (optional): Use 3.5mm audio cable to connect to AUX IN port.

WARNING! Use only Bose-approved power supply. Ensure proper ventilation around unit.

First-Time Use

Power on SoundDock; LED indicator will illuminate.

  1. Dock your device: Place iPod/iPhone into dock with correct adapter installed.
  2. Charging begins automatically when docked and powered.
  3. Play music: Device should automatically begin playback or can be controlled manually.
  4. Adjust volume: Use remote or buttons on SoundDock.

Playing Music

Supports playback from docked iPod/iPhone or auxiliary input.

  1. Dock device: Insert iPod/iPhone into dock; it should begin charging.
  2. Start playback: Use device controls or remote to play music.
  3. Control playback: Use remote for play/pause, track skip, volume.
  4. AUX input: Connect device, ensure SoundDock is set to correct input if necessary.
  5. Volume adjustment: Use remote or device volume controls (when docked).

WARNING! Do not remove device during data transfer/update. Eject properly from dock.

Remote Control

Remote functions: Power, Volume, Playback control, Mute. Battery: CR2032 3V lithium cell (included).

To use: Point remote at front of SoundDock within 20 feet. Replace battery when range decreases or functions become intermittent.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth only; avoid liquids and abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents or spray cleaners. Keep away from excessive heat and moisture.
