Setup and Pairing

Unpack the remote and ensure it is compatible with your Bose Solo system.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, install two AAA batteries as indicated.
  2. Pair with system: Point remote at Bose Solo soundbar, press and hold SETUP and INPUT simultaneously for 3 seconds until LED flashes.
  3. Test connectivity: Press POWER to turn system on; adjust volume to confirm operation.
  4. Program additional devices: Follow programming section to control TV or other components.

WARNING! Use only recommended battery types. Incorrect installation may damage the remote.

Button Functions

All buttons are clearly labeled for intuitive operation.

Primary Controls: POWER, VOLUME +/- , MUTE, INPUT, SOUND MODE, BASS +/-.

Secondary Controls: SETUP (enters programming mode), NUMBER PAD (0-9), BACKLIGHT (if available).

Special Functions: Press and hold INPUT for 5 seconds to reset remote to factory defaults. Press and hold SOUND MODE to customize equalizer settings via on-screen menu (if supported by system).

Programming the Remote

The remote can be programmed to control your TV, cable box, or other devices.

  1. Turn on the device you wish to control (e.g., TV).
  2. Press and hold SETUP on remote until LED lights up.
  3. Enter the 4-digit code for your device brand (see code list in manual appendix).
  4. LED flashes twice to confirm successful programming.
  5. Test by pressing POWER; device should turn on/off.
  6. If unsuccessful, repeat steps with alternate code for your brand.

Tip: Keep the remote pointed at the device during programming.

Controlling Connected Devices

Once programmed, use the remote to operate multiple devices.

  1. Select device mode: Press and hold SETUP, then press corresponding device button (TV, CABLE, AUX).
  2. Control functions: Use volume, power, and input buttons for selected device.
  3. Switch back to Bose control: Press the BOSE or SOUNDBAR button.

Note: Some advanced functions may require original device remote.

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when remote becomes unresponsive or LED flashes red.

  1. Slide open battery cover on rear of remote.
  2. Remove old batteries and dispose of properly.
  3. Insert two new AAA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close cover securely.
  5. Test remote by pressing any button.

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.

Care & Maintenance

Unload batteries before extended storage. Clean with dry, soft cloth; avoid liquids.

CAUTION! Do not expose to extreme heat, moisture, or direct sunlight. Keep away from children and pets.

Troubleshooting
