Getting Started

Prepare your headset for first use.

  1. Charge the battery: Connect the Micro-USB cable to the charging port and a power source. LED will glow amber while charging and turn off when fully charged.
  2. Select ear tips: Choose the StayHear+ tip size that provides a secure, comfortable seal.
  3. Power on: Press and hold the Power/Bluetooth button until the LED flashes blue and you hear a tone.
  4. Pair with a device: Enable Bluetooth on your device, select "Bose QC30" from the list.

CAUTION! Do not expose to extreme temperatures during charging.

Controls and Indicators

All controls are located on the neckband for easy access.

Power/Bluetooth Button: Press and hold to turn on/off. Press briefly to enter pairing mode when off. Press to answer/end calls.

Volume Buttons: + and - buttons adjust volume level.

Noise Cancellation Button: Cycles through ANC levels (High, Low, Off) when pressed.

LED Indicator: Blue flash: Power on/Pairing mode. Solid blue: Connected. Amber: Charging. Off: Fully charged/Powered off.

Pairing with Devices

Connect to Bluetooth-enabled devices.

  1. Turn on the headset (LED flashes blue).
  2. On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
  3. Select "Bose QC30" from the list of available devices.
  4. If prompted, enter PIN "0000".
  5. Connection confirmed by voice prompt and solid blue LED.

Tip: To pair with another device, press and hold the Power/Bluetooth button for 3 seconds while the headset is on to enter pairing mode.

Using Noise Cancellation

Adjust the level of ambient noise reduction.

  1. Press the Noise Cancellation button to cycle through levels: High, Low, Off.
  2. Listen for the voice prompt indicating the current level.
  3. For fine control, use the Bose Connect app to set a specific level (0-10).
  4. Noise cancellation works best with a proper seal from the ear tips.

WARNING! Do not use in situations where awareness of your surroundings is critical for safety.

Making and Receiving Calls

Use the built-in microphone for hands-free communication.

  1. Answer a call: Press the Power/Bluetooth button once.
  2. End a call: Press the Power/Bluetooth button once.
  3. Reject a call: Press and hold the Power/Bluetooth button for 2 seconds.
  4. Voice assistant: Press and hold the Power/Bluetooth button to activate Siri or Google Assistant.
  5. Mute microphone: Use your connected device's call controls.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug charging cable before cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth only; do not use liquids or solvents.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water. Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Store in the provided case when not in use.
