First-Time Setup
Prepare your headphones for first use.
- Charge the headphones: Connect the USB-C cable to the headphones and a power source (computer or USB wall adapter). The indicator light will glow amber while charging and turn off when fully charged (approx. 2.5 hours).
- Power on: Slide and hold the Power/Bluetooth button for 2 seconds. You will hear a power-on tone and see the battery indicator light.
- Pair with a device: On first power-on, the headphones enter pairing mode (indicator flashes blue). Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or computer, select "Bose QuietComfort 2" from the list, and confirm pairing.
- Adjust fit: Extend the headband and position ear cups comfortably over your ears.
CAUTION! Use only the provided USB-C cable or a certified equivalent for charging to avoid damage.

Controls and Indicators

Connecting to Devices

- Reconnecting: The headphones will automatically reconnect to the last used device when powered on, if that device's Bluetooth is on and in range.
- Wired Connection: Connect the included 3.5mm audio cable from the headphone's AUX port to your device's headphone jack. The headphones will play audio without needing battery power, but noise cancellation requires battery.
- Multi-point Connection: The headphones can remember up to 8 devices and be connected to 2 simultaneously. To switch between connected devices, pause audio on the first device and play on the second.
Tip: For best audio quality, keep the source device within 10 meters (33 feet) and minimize obstructions.
Using Noise Cancellation
Adjust the level of ambient sound reduction.
- Press the Noise Cancellation button to cycle through modes: High (maximum noise reduction), LowOff (noise cancellation disabled, audio passes through).
- A voice prompt will announce the selected mode (e.g., "Noise Cancellation High").
- Use High for loud environments like airplanes or trains. Use Low for quieter offices or when you need some awareness of surroundings. Use Off to conserve battery or when you want to hear ambient sounds clearly.
- Noise cancellation works in both wireless and wired modes when the headphones are powered on.
WARNING! Do not use noise cancellation in situations where you need full awareness of your surroundings, such as walking near traffic or in hazardous areas.
Using the Microphone
For phone calls and voice assistants.
- Answering a Call: When a call comes in, press the Multi-function button once to answer.
- Ending a Call: Press the Multi-function button once.
- Rejecting a Call: Press the Multi-function button twice quickly.
- Voice Assistant: Press and hold the Multi-function button to activate Siri, Google Assistant, or your device's default voice assistant. Release the button after you hear the activation tone, then speak your command.
- The microphone includes noise-rejecting technology to improve call clarity in noisy environments.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care ensures longevity and performance.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. For ear cushions and headband, use a cloth slightly dampened with water. Do not use solvents, abrasives, or sprays.
- Storage: Store in the provided carrying case when not in use, especially during travel. Fold the headphones by rotating the ear cups flat and folding the headband.
- Battery: For long-term storage, charge the battery to about 50% and power off. Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid complete discharge for extended periods.
- Avoid: Extreme temperatures, moisture, direct sunlight, and excessive pressure on the ear cups or headband.
CAUTION! Do not immerse any part of the headphones in water. The headphones are not waterproof.

Troubleshooting
