Using Noise Cancellation

Noise cancellation reduces ambient sounds like engine rumble, fan noise, and background chatter.

  1. Slide switch to ON: Green indicator light turns on. You may hear a slight hiss (normal).
  2. For best results: Wear headphones before turning on noise cancellation in noisy environments.
  3. To conserve battery: Turn noise cancellation OFF when not needed.
  4. Audio passthrough: Even with noise cancellation ON, you can still hear important announcements if volume is low.

NOTE: Noise cancellation is most effective on constant, low-frequency sounds. It may not eliminate all noise, especially sudden, high-pitched sounds.

Battery & Charging

Standard model uses one AAA alkaline battery.

WARNING! Do not use rechargeable batteries unless specified by Bose. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures longevity and performance.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe earcups and headband with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or cleaners.
  2. Ear Cushions: Replaceable. Contact Bose for replacement cushions if worn or damaged.
  3. Storage: Always store in carrying case when not in use. Fold headphones properly.
  4. Avoid: Extreme temperatures, moisture, direct sunlight, and excessive bending of cables.
