Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Choose optimal locations for speakers and module.

  1. Place the Acoustimass module: Position on floor near a wall or in a corner for enhanced bass response. Do not block vents.
  2. Place satellite speakers: Position at ear level when seated, left and right of listening area. Can be placed on shelves, mounted on walls, or using optional stands.
  3. Connect satellites to module: Use provided speaker cables. Connect red terminal to red, black to black on both module and speakers.
  4. Connect audio source: Use provided audio cable to connect from your receiver, TV, or player's audio output to the module's INPUT jacks.
  5. Connect power: Plug the module's power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the module has adequate ventilation. Do not place near heat sources or in enclosed cabinets.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure for your room.

  1. Power on: Switch the module's power switch to ON. The status LED should illuminate.
  2. Set audio source: Turn on your connected receiver, TV, or player and select the correct input.
  3. Adjust bass level: Use the bass control on the module to set the desired level. Start at the midpoint and adjust while playing music.
  4. Test sound: Play audio from your source. Ensure sound comes from both satellites and the module.

Operation: Power switch turns system on/off. Bass control adjusts low-frequency output. No volume control on module - volume is controlled by your audio source or receiver.

Connecting Audio Sources

Connect to receivers, TVs, CD/DVD players, computers, or other audio devices.

  1. Ensure all equipment is turned off before making connections.
  2. Identify audio outputs on your source device (usually labeled AUDIO OUT or LINE OUT).
  3. Use provided RCA cable (red/white) to connect from source outputs to module INPUT jacks (red to red, white to white).
  4. For devices with only a headphone or 3.5mm output, use an appropriate adapter cable (not included).
  5. Turn on your audio source and select the correct output if necessary.

Tip: For best performance, use high-quality audio cables and keep runs as short as possible.

Operation and Listening

Optimizing your listening experience.

  1. Power sequence: Turn on the Acoustimass module first, then your audio source.
  2. Volume control: Adjust volume using your source device or receiver. The module does not have its own volume control.
  3. Bass adjustment: Use the bass control on the module to suit your room and taste. Reduce if bass sounds boomy.
  4. Listening modes: For music, position satellites at ear level. For home theater, follow receiver setup guidelines.
  5. Power down: Turn off your audio source first, then the module.

WARNING! Do not play at extremely high volumes for extended periods to avoid hearing damage and speaker damage.

Care & Maintenance
