System Requirements

Ensure your computer meets these minimum requirements for optimal performance.

Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install Bose Modeler 6.8 on your computer.

  1. Download the installation package from the Bose Professional website.
  2. Run the setup executable file as administrator.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions in the installation wizard.
  4. Accept the license agreement and choose installation directory.
  5. Complete installation and restart your computer if prompted.
  6. Launch Bose Modeler 6.8 and activate with your serial number.

NOTE: Administrative privileges are required for installation. Ensure antivirus software doesn't block the installation.

User Interface

The interface consists of main workspace, toolbar, project tree, and properties panel.

Main Components:

Use View menu to toggle between 2D Plan, 3D View, and Section views.

Project Setup

Create a new project or open existing designs.

  1. Select File > New Project or use template.
  2. Set project units (feet/meters) and coordinate system.
  3. Import venue drawing (DXF, DWG, PDF) or draw manually.
  4. Define venue boundaries and audience areas.
  5. Set material properties for surfaces (absorption, reflection).
  6. Save project with descriptive filename.

Tip: Use layers to organize different elements of your design.

Loudspeaker Configuration

Add and configure Bose loudspeakers in your design.

  1. Select loudspeakers from product library.
  2. Place speakers in venue using click or coordinate entry.
  3. Adjust speaker orientation (azimuth, tilt, rotation).
  4. Configure signal processing (EQ, delay, level).
  5. Group speakers for coordinated control.
  6. Verify amplifier loading and power requirements.

WARNING! Ensure amplifier compatibility and do not exceed maximum load ratings.

Acoustic Simulation

Run simulations to predict system performance.

  1. Define listener positions or areas.
  2. Set simulation parameters (frequency range, resolution).
  3. Run coverage analysis for SPL uniformity.
  4. Generate frequency response plots.
  5. Analyze intelligibility (STI, Alcons).
  6. Optimize system based on simulation results.

Use the Simulation toolbar to control analysis and view results in multiple formats.

Output & Export

Generate reports and export configuration files.

Use File > Export menu to save project data in required formats.

Troubleshooting

IssuePossible CauseSolution
Software won't launchMissing dependencies or activationReinstall Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables; verify activation
