Getting Started

Prepare your speaker for first use.

  1. Charge the speaker: Connect the Micro-USB cable to the speaker and the power adapter. Plug into a wall outlet. The status light will glow amber while charging and turn off when fully charged.
  2. Power on: Press and hold the Multi-function button until the status light glows white and you hear the power-on tone.
  3. Initial Bluetooth pairing: See Section 6 for detailed pairing instructions.

CAUTION! Use only the provided or Bose-approved charging accessories.

Multi-function Button: - Press and hold to turn speaker ON/OFF. - Press once to answer/end a call. - Press twice to reject a call. - Press and hold for 2 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

Volume Buttons (+ / -): - Press to increase/decrease volume. - Press and hold to skip to next/previous track (when supported by source device).

Status Light: - Solid White: Speaker is ON and connected to a Bluetooth device. - Blinking Blue: Speaker is in pairing mode (ready to connect). - Solid Blue: Speaker is connected to a device during a call. - Pulsing Amber: Battery is low. - Solid Amber: Speaker is charging. - Off: Speaker is fully charged or OFF.

Bluetooth Pairing

Pair your speaker with a Bluetooth device (smartphone, tablet, computer).

  1. Turn on the speaker (if not already on).
  2. Enter pairing mode: Press and hold the Multi-function button until the status light blinks blue and you hear "Ready to pair" or a tone.
  3. On your Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "Bose Mini SoundLink" from the list on your device.
  5. If prompted, enter the passkey "0000" (four zeros).
  6. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone and the status light will glow solid white.

Tip: The speaker can remember up to 6 paired devices. To connect to a different paired device, turn off Bluetooth on the currently connected device, or use your device's Bluetooth menu to select "Bose Mini SoundLink".

Using the Speaker

Wireless streaming, wired connection, and speakerphone use.

  1. Wireless Audio: After pairing, audio from your device will play through the speaker automatically. Control playback (play/pause/skip) from your source device.
  2. Wired Connection: Use a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to connect the AUX input on the speaker to the headphone jack of any audio device. The speaker will automatically switch to the wired input.
  3. Speakerphone: When a call comes in on your paired phone, press the Multi-function button once to answer. Press once to end the call. The speaker's microphone will pick up your voice.
  4. Volume Control: Use the Volume buttons on the speaker or the volume controls on your source device.

WARNING! Do not expose the speaker to liquids. Avoid extreme temperatures.

Charging the Battery

  1. Connect the Micro-USB end of the cable to the charging port on the back of the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end to the included AC power adapter, then plug into a wall outlet.
  3. The status light will glow solid amber while charging. It will turn off when charging is complete (approximately 3 hours).
  4. To check battery level during use: When battery is low, the status light will pulse amber and you will hear a voice prompt ("Battery low").

For best battery life: Charge the speaker fully before first use. Avoid completely draining the battery frequently. Store in a cool, dry place if not used for extended periods.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug charging cable before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquids, aerosols, or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Do not attempt to open or disassemble the speaker. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Keep ports free of dust and debris.

Troubleshooting
