  2. Connect control pod: Plug the control pod cable into the port on the right speaker (or as indicated).
  3. Connect audio source: Plug the 3.5mm audio cable into the "Audio In" port on the control pod or speaker, and the other end into your computer's headphone/line-out jack.
  4. Connect power: Plug the power adapter into the power input on the speaker system, then into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the power adapter is the correct voltage. Do not place speakers near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

First-Time Setup

Power on the speakers; adjust settings for optimal sound.

  1. Power connection: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the speaker and the wall outlet.
  2. Audio source connection: Verify the 3.5mm audio cable is firmly connected to both the speakers and your computer or device.
  3. Volume adjustment: Turn the volume knob on the control pod to a low level before playing audio.
  4. Test audio: Play a music track or system sound to confirm both speakers are working.
  5. Position adjustment: Fine-tune speaker placement for the best stereo imaging and sound balance.

CAUTION! Start with low volume to avoid sudden loud sounds. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

Controls and Settings

Primary control is via the dedicated control pod. No on-screen menu or software installation is required for basic operation.

Control Pod: Volume Knob (rotate clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to decrease), Mute Button (press to toggle audio on/off; LED may indicate mute status).

Audio Source Settings: Adjust the volume level on your connected computer or device to about 75% for optimal performance, then use the speaker's control pod for fine adjustment. Ensure your computer's audio output is set to stereo and not muted in the system settings.

Connecting Devices

Connect to any device with a standard 3.5mm audio output jack.

  1. Computer/Laptop: Use the included 3.5mm cable to connect from the speaker's audio input to the computer's headphone or line-out port.
  2. Smartphone/Tablet: Use a 3.5mm cable (if device has a jack) or a compatible adapter to connect to the speaker's audio input.
  3. Other Audio Sources: Can connect to MP3 players, TVs (with headphone jack), or gaming consoles using a 3.5mm cable.

Tip: For the best audio quality, ensure connections are secure and the audio source volume is set to an appropriate level before adjusting the speaker volume.

Audio Optimization

To get the best sound from your Mediamate speakers:

  1. Speaker Placement: Position speakers at ear level, equidistant from your listening position, and angled inward.
  2. Distance from Walls: Keep speakers at least a few inches away from walls to reduce bass resonance.
  3. Volume Balance: Use the balance control in your computer's sound settings if one speaker seems louder than the other.
  4. Source Quality: Use high-quality audio files (e.g., 256 kbps MP3 or higher, FLAC, WAV) for the best listening experience.
  5. Desk Surface: Place speakers on a solid, non-vibrating surface to prevent unwanted resonance.

WARNING! Do not expose speakers to excessive volume for extended periods, as this can damage the drivers and harm your hearing.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the power adapter before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the speaker cabinets and control pod. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Never allow liquid to enter the speaker vents or control pod. Do not use compressed air to clean the drivers.
