First-Time Setup

Prepare your speaker for first use.

  1. Charge the speaker: Connect the USB cable to the speaker and wall charger, then plug into an outlet. LEDs will indicate charging.
  2. Power on: Press and hold the Multi-function button until you hear the power-on tone and the battery LEDs illuminate.
  3. Pair your device: Enable Bluetooth on your device, select "Bose SoundLink Mini II" from the list. Confirm pairing if prompted.
  4. Play audio: Start playing music from your paired device.

CAUTION! Use only the provided or Bose-approved charging accessories.

Bluetooth Pairing

Connecting to a new device.

  1. Ensure speaker is on and not currently connected to another device.
  2. Press and hold the Multi-function button until the Bluetooth LED flashes blue and you hear "Ready to pair".
  3. On your Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select "Bose SoundLink Mini II" from the discovered list.
  4. You will hear a confirmation tone and the LED will turn solid blue.

Tip: The speaker can remember up to 8 devices. To connect to a previously paired device, simply power on the speaker near the device.

Using the Speakerphone

Make and receive calls hands-free.

  1. When a call comes in while audio is playing, playback will pause.
  2. Press the Multi-function button once to answer the call. Speak normally towards the speaker.
  3. During the call, use the Volume buttons to adjust the call volume.
  4. Press the Multi-function button once to end the call. Music playback will resume if it was active.
  5. To reject a call, press and hold the Multi-function button for about 2 seconds.
  6. To redial the last number, double-press the Multi-function button.

WARNING! For optimal microphone performance, keep the speaker within 2 feet (0.6m) during a call.

Charging the Battery

Use the included USB cable and charger.

  1. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the port on the back of the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end to the wall charger and plug into an outlet, or connect to a computer's USB port.
  3. The battery LEDs will pulse white while charging and turn solid white when fully charged (approx. 3 hours).
  4. When the battery is low, you will hear a voice prompt "Battery low. Please charge soon." and the LED will flash red.

CAUTION! Do not use damaged cables or chargers. Charge in a well-ventilated area.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the charging cable before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water only.

CAUTION! Do not use any solvents, abrasives, or aerosol cleaners. Do not allow moisture into the ports. Do not submerge.
