Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Place media console in well-ventilated area.

  1. Connect speakers: Use color-coded cables to connect Jewel Cube speakers to media console. Connect Acoustimass module.
  2. Connect video display: Use HDMI or component cables to connect console to TV or projector.
  3. Connect audio sources: Connect cable/satellite box, game console, or other devices to audio inputs.
  4. Connect antenna: Attach AM loop and FM wire antennas.
  5. Plug into AC power.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation around media console. Use two people when moving the Acoustimass module.

First-Time Setup

Power on system; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Run ADAPTiQ calibration: Wear ADAPTiQ headset, follow audio prompts to optimize sound for your room.
  2. Set language and region: In system menu, select preferred language and country for tuner.
  3. Program radio stations: Use auto-scan or manual tuning to save AM/FM presets.

Controls and Settings

Access menu system via remote or front panel buttons. Front Panel: POWER, EJECT, VOLUME, SOURCE SELECT.

Remote: POWER, Numeric buttons, MENU, NAVIGATION arrows, SELECT, VOLUME, MUTE, TRANSPORT controls (PLAY, STOP, etc.), SOURCE buttons.

Audio Settings: ADAPTiQ (rerun calibration), Tone (bass/treble), Night Mode (compresses dynamic range). Video Settings: Output resolution, screen format (4:3, 16:9). System Settings: Language, clock, parental controls (default code may be 0000 or 1111), remote programming, factory reset. Tuner Settings: Auto-scan, manual tune, preset naming.

Connecting Devices

Video: HDMI (preferred) or component to TV. Audio: Optical/coaxial from external sources. Multi-room: Connect to Bose link compatible products.

  1. Turn off all devices before connecting.
  2. Use high-quality cables for best performance.
  3. Select source on media console (DVD, AUX, TUNER, etc.).
  4. For digital audio, ensure source output format is compatible (PCM, Dolby Digital).

Tip: Label cables during installation for easier identification later.

Playing Media

Supports DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, audio CDs, MP3 CDs.

  1. Insert disc: Press EJECT, load media label-side up.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; use navigation for titles/chapters or tracks.
  3. Search: Use SKIP or SCROLL for fast forward/rewind.
  4. Repeat: Press REPEAT for track, chapter, or disc repeat.
  5. Random Play: Press SHUFFLE for random track order.
  6. Disc Menu: Press MENU to access DVD title menu.
  7. Audio Tracks: Use AUDIO button to select different language tracks or formats.
  8. Resume: System often remembers last playback position.

WARNING! Do not use damaged or irregularly shaped discs. Keep disc tray clean.

Multi-Room Audio

With optional Bose link modules, send audio to other rooms.

  1. Connect Bose link cable from media console to link module in another room.
  2. Select source on main console.
  3. Control volume independently in each room (with compatible keypads).
  4. Different sources can often be played in different zones (model dependent).

Note: Multi-room functionality may require additional Bose equipment.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug system before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth for console and speakers. For stubborn stains, dampen cloth slightly with water only.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Do not allow moisture into vents or ports. Clean disc lens only with approved CD/DVD laser lens cleaner.
