Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Remove remote from packaging. Inspect for damage.

  4. Remove any protective plastic film from the LCD or button area.

Battery Installation

Requires 2 AAA batteries (alkaline recommended).

  1. Turn remote over and locate battery compartment cover on back.
  2. Slide cover in direction of arrow to open.
  3. Insert batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-) as marked.
  4. Replace cover by sliding until it clicks into place.

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types. Remove batteries if remote will not be used for an extended period.

Remote Control Layout

Basic Operation

Power on system: Press SYSTEM POWER. Select source: Press DVD, CD, AUX, etc. Control playback: Use transport buttons. Adjust volume: VOL +/- or MUTE. Enter numbers: Use keypad for channels/tracks. Navigate menus: Arrow keys and SELECT.

Tip: Press DISPLAY to show current source and status on the media center's front panel.

Programming the Remote

The remote can learn commands from other remotes to control additional devices (TV, cable box).

  1. Press and hold the PROGRAM button until the remote's indicator light blinks twice.
  2. Press the device button you wish to program (e.g., TV, CABLE).
  3. Point the original remote at the Bose remote's IR sensor (about 2 inches apart).
  4. Press and hold the desired button on the original remote until the Bose remote's light blinks once.
  5. Repeat for additional buttons, or press PROGRAM to exit.

Reset to Factory: Press and hold PROGRAM + DVD + 0 simultaneously for 5 seconds.

System Control Functions

Access advanced features via the MENU button and on-screen display.

Care & Maintenance

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the remote. For stubborn marks, dampen cloth slightly with water. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity. Do not submerge in liquid. Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods.
