Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Choose optimal speaker placement.

  1. Position Media Center: Place near TV and power outlet with ventilation.
  2. Place Acoustimass Module: Position along a wall, not in corner for best bass.
  3. Mount Jewel Cube Speakers: Use included brackets for wall mounting or place on shelves.
  4. Connect speakers: Use color-coded cables to connect speakers to Media Center.
  5. Connect to TV: Use component or composite video cables from Media Center to TV.
  6. Connect power: Plug all components into power outlets.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation around Media Center. Do not block vents.

First-Time Setup

Audio Settings: Bass, Treble, Speaker Levels (individual adjustment), ADAPTiQ on/off. Video Settings: Output resolution (480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i), screen format. System Settings: Language (ENGLISH default), remote setup, factory reset. Tuner: Auto-scan, manual tune, preset stations.

Connecting Devices

Audio Sources: Optical/coaxial for digital audio; analog RCA for older devices. Video Sources: Component for HD; composite/S-Video for standard.

  1. Turn off all devices before connecting.
  2. Use appropriate cables for each source (optical for DVD player, etc.).
  3. Connect video output from source to Media Center input.
  4. Connect Media Center video output to TV input.
  5. Select source via remote INPUT button or on-screen menu.

Tip: Label cables during installation for easier identification later.

Playing Media

Supports DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, audio CDs.

  1. Insert disc: Press EJECT, load media into slot.
