Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Plan speaker placement for optimal surround sound.

  1. Position Media Center: Place near TV and other source devices with adequate ventilation.
  2. Connect Acoustimass Module: Place near wall or corner, connect to Media Center via proprietary cable.
  3. Place Cube Speakers: Front L/R beside TV, center above/below TV, surround L/R behind seating area.
  4. Connect Speakers: Use color-coded cables to Media Center speaker terminals.
  5. Connect Sources: Use HDMI for modern devices; component/composite for legacy equipment.
  6. Connect to TV: Use HDMI output for best quality.
  7. Plug into AC power.

First-Time Setup

Power on system; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Initial Power On: Connect power, press SYSTEM POWER on remote. Media Center display will light up.

Audio Settings: Bass, Treble, Dialogue Mode, Night Mode, Speaker Levels (individual channel adjustment). Video Settings: Output Resolution (480i to 1080p), Aspect Ratio. System Settings: Remote Control Programming, Input Naming, Auto Power On/Off, Factory Reset.

Connecting Devices

HDMI recommended for digital audio/video. Component/Composite for older devices.

  1. Turn off all components before connecting.
  2. Connect source (cable box, game console, etc.) to Media Center input via HDMI or analog cables.
  3. Connect Media Center HDMI output to TV.
  4. Assign input in setup menu (e.g., assign HDMI 1 to "CBL/SAT").
  5. Select source on remote (press CBL/SAT, DVD, etc.).

Tip: Use high-speed HDMI cables for 1080p video and HD audio formats.

Playing Media

Supports DVD-Video, audio CDs, MP3 CDs, JPEG photo CDs.

  1. Insert disc: Press EJECT, load DVD/CD into Media Center.
