  2. Position the System: Place the assembled unit on a flat surface. Ensure it is stable and not at risk of tipping.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the included power cable into the AC input on the Power Stand base and then into a wall outlet.

WARNING! The array is top-heavy when assembled. Always ensure the base is stable and use caution when moving the assembled system.

First-Time Power On

Power on the system and configure initial settings.

  1. Power On: Press the POWER switch on the rear of the Power Stand. The status LED should illuminate.
  2. Set Channel Levels: Begin with all channel volume knobs and the master volume at the minimum (fully counter-clockwise).
  3. Connect a Source: Plug a microphone or instrument into Channel 1 or 2.
  4. Adjust Volume: Slowly increase the corresponding channel volume, then adjust the master volume to a comfortable listening level.
  5. Test All Inputs: Repeat for each input channel you plan to use.

CAUTION! Avoid turning on the system with volume controls set high to prevent loud pops or feedback.

Specifications

Controls and Connections

All controls are located on the top panel of the Power Stand base.

Front/Rear Panel: POWER switch, Status LED, AC Input, Input Channels 1-3.

Top Panel Controls per Channel: VOLUME, BASS, MID, TREBLE. Master VOLUME control.

Input Jacks: Channels 1 & 2 accept XLR (balanced mic/line) or 1/4" TRS (balanced line/instrument). Channel 3 accepts RCA connectors for stereo line-level devices (e.g., music player).

Connecting Audio Sources

Connect microphones, instruments, or music players to the appropriate inputs.

  1. Microphones: Use an XLR cable to connect to Channel 1 or 2.
  2. Instruments (Guitar, Keyboard): Use a 1/4" TS or TRS cable to connect to Channel 1 or 2.
  3. Music Players (Phone, Laptop): Use an RCA-to-3.5mm cable to connect to the stereo RCA inputs on Channel 3.
  4. Turn the system and source devices OFF before making connections.
  5. After connecting, power on sources first, then the L1 Compact system.

Tip: Use balanced cables for longer runs to minimize noise.

Operating the Mixer

Use the top panel controls to mix your audio sources.

  1. Set Individual Levels: Adjust each channel's VOLUME knob to balance the sources relative to each other.
  2. Apply Tone Shaping: Use the BASS, MID, and TREBLE knobs on each channel to tailor the sound (e.g., reduce bass on a vocal mic, boost treble on an acoustic guitar).
  3. Control Overall Volume: Use the MASTER VOLUME knob to set the final output level for the room.
  4. Muting: To mute a channel, turn its VOLUME knob fully down. Some models may have a dedicated mute via remote.

WARNING! Avoid driving the system into distortion (clipping). If the sound becomes harsh or the status LED flashes red, reduce the master or channel volume.
