Getting Started

Power on headset and pair with your device.

  1. Charge: Connect USB-C cable to headset and power source. LED blinks white during charging, solid white when full.
  2. Power on/off: Slide power switch to ON (right earcup). LED indicator lights blue.
  3. Pairing mode: Hold Bluetooth button for 3 seconds until LED flashes blue. Select "Bose Headset X" on your device's Bluetooth list.
  4. Wear: Adjust headband for comfortable fit; ensure earcups fully cover ears for optimal ANC.

CAUTION! Do not expose to extreme temperatures or moisture. Use only provided cables.

Controls and Indicators

Physical controls located on right earcup. Touch controls on outer surface.

Right Earcup: Power switch, Bluetooth button, USB-C port, 3.5mm audio jack.

Touch Controls: Swipe up/down for volume; swipe forward/back for track skip; tap to play/pause; double-tap for voice assistant; tap and hold to reject call.

LED Indicators: Blue (power on/connected); flashing blue (pairing); white (charging); red (low battery).

ANC/Transparency: Press and hold touch surface for 1 second to cycle between ANC On, ANC Off, and Transparency mode.

Connecting to Devices

Pair with smartphones, tablets, computers, or use wired connection.

  1. Ensure headset is charged and powered on.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your device and enter pairing mode on headset.
  3. Select "Bose Headset X" from available devices list.
  4. For wired use: Connect 3.5mm audio cable to headset and device's audio jack.
  5. To switch devices: Disconnect from current device, then pair with new device.

Tip: For best audio quality, keep Bluetooth device within 10 meters and avoid obstacles.

Using the Bose Music App

Download from App Store or Google Play to unlock advanced features.

  1. Install app and create Bose account (optional).
  2. Follow in-app instructions to connect headset.
  3. Customize EQ: Adjust bass, mid, treble with preset or custom profiles.
  4. Manage connections: View paired devices, disconnect, or forget.

Voice Assistants & Calls

Built-in mic supports voice commands and clear phone calls.

Voice Assistant: Double-tap touch surface to activate default assistant (set in device). Use for queries, navigation, music control.

Calls: Tap once to answer/end call; tap and hold to reject; swipe up/down during call to adjust call volume.

Mute Mic: Press and hold Bluetooth button during call to mute/unmute microphone.

Noise Rejection: Beamforming mics focus on your voice and reduce background noise during calls.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug cables before cleaning. Use dry, soft cloth only.

  1. Earpads: Gently wipe with dry cloth. Replaceable earpads available from Bose.
  2. Headband: Avoid bending excessively; store in case when not in use.
  3. Charging port: Keep free of dust and debris.
  4. Storage: Store in carrying case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
