Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place components on a stable surface.

  1. Position Speakers: Place satellite speakers on your desk, left and right of your monitor.
  2. Place Acoustimass Module: Position the module on the floor near your desk or under it.
  3. Connect Control Pod: Place the pod within easy reach on your desk.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the AC adapter into the Acoustimass module and then into a wall outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the power outlet is easily accessible. Do not place the Acoustimass module in an enclosed cabinet.

First-Time Setup

Connect the system to your computer and power it on.

  1. Connect to Computer: Use the provided USB cable to connect the control pod to your computer's USB port.
  2. Connect Satellite Speakers: Plug the speaker cables from the satellites into the ports on the Acoustimass module.
  3. Connect Control Pod: Attach the control pod cable to the port on the Acoustimass module.
  4. Power On: The system will power on automatically when connected to AC power and USB.

CAUTION! Connect all cables firmly before plugging in the power adapter.

Controls and Settings

All primary controls are located on the Control Pod.

Control Pod: Volume Knob (rotate to adjust), Mute Button (press to mute/unmute), Headphone Jack, Source Indicator (LED for USB/Analog).

Operation: Rotate the volume knob clockwise to increase volume, counterclockwise to decrease. Press the mute button once to silence audio; press again to restore. Plug headphones into the jack to automatically mute the speakers. The system automatically selects the active input source (USB or Analog).

Connecting Devices

Primary connection is via USB for digital audio. An analog input is available for other sources.

  1. USB Connection (Recommended): For best audio quality from a computer.
  2. Analog Connection: Use a 3.5mm stereo cable to connect devices like smartphones, tablets, or MP3 players to the analog input on the Acoustimass module.
  3. Headphones: Plug into the 3.5mm jack on the control pod for private listening.

Tip: The system will automatically play audio from the last active source. Only one source can be active at a time.

Operation

The system is designed for simple, automatic operation.

  1. Power: The system turns on automatically when a valid audio signal is detected via USB or Analog input.
  2. Volume Adjustment: Use the knob on the control pod. Adjust your computer's system volume as a master level.
  3. Mute: Press the mute button on the control pod. The LED may flash or change color to indicate mute status.
  4. Source Selection: The system automatically switches to the source (USB or Analog) that is actively sending an audio signal.
  5. Headphone Use: Plugging in headphones mutes the satellite speakers and Acoustimass module automatically.

WARNING! Avoid setting the volume to maximum for extended periods to prevent hearing damage and potential speaker damage.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the system from power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the speakers and control pod.

CAUTION! Do not use liquids, sprays, or abrasive cleaners. Do not allow moisture to enter any openings. Keep the Acoustimass module away from direct sources of heat or moisture.
