Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a suitable mounting location.

  1. Select location: Choose a flat, stable surface within line-of-sight of the system's IR receiver.

WARNING! Ensure mounting surface is secure. Do not install in areas with standing water or extreme direct heat.

First-Time Setup

Ensure compatible Bose system is powered on and in standby mode.

  1. Power on system: Turn on your Bose audio system using its main power button.
  2. Test remote: Point AWRC-10 at system's IR receiver, press POWER button. System should power on.
  3. Verify functions: Test VOLUME UP/DOWN, SOURCE, and MUTE buttons for response.
  4. Adjust aim: If response is weak, slightly adjust the angle of the remote.

Operation

Standard operation for controlling a Bose audio system.

  1. Power: Press POWER to turn the system on from standby or off to standby.
  2. Volume Control: Press VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN to adjust level.
  3. Source Selection: Press SOURCE to cycle through available audio inputs.
  4. Mute: Press MUTE to silence audio; press again or adjust volume to unmute.
  5. Range: Operate within 30 feet with a clear line-of-sight.

WARNING! Do not submerge the remote in water. It is weather-resistant, not waterproof.

Maintenance

Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.

Battery Replacement: When LED becomes dim or buttons stop responding, replace both AAA batteries. Ensure compartment seal is clean and intact before closing.

CAUTION! Always replace both batteries at the same time. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period.
