Getting Started

Prepare your headphones for first use.

  1. Charge the headphones: Connect the USB cable to the headphones and a power source. The indicator light will glow amber during charging and turn off when fully charged.
  2. Power on: Slide the power switch to the ON position. You will hear a voice prompt indicating power on.
  3. Pair with a device: Enable Bluetooth on your device, select "Bose AE2w" from the list of available devices.
  4. Adjust fit: Extend the headband and position ear cups comfortably over your ears.

CAUTION! Do not expose headphones to extreme temperatures or moisture during charging.

Controls and Indicators

Access all functions via the buttons on the right ear cup.

Right Ear Cup Controls: POWER switch, VOLUME UP/DOWN buttons, MULTIFUNCTION button (play/pause, answer/end call, voice assistant), BLUETOOTH button (pairing).

Indicator Light: Solid white - powered on; Flashing blue - pairing mode; Solid blue - connected; Amber - charging; Off - fully charged or powered off. Voice Prompts: Indicate power on/off, pairing mode, connected, battery low, etc.

Pairing with Devices

Connect wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled devices.

  1. Turn on headphones and ensure they are in pairing mode (flashing blue light).
  2. On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and turn Bluetooth ON.
  3. Select "Bose AE2w" from the list of available devices.
  4. If prompted, enter pairing code "0000".
  5. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone and the light will turn solid blue.

Tip: To pair with a second device, put the first device in standby mode, then repeat the pairing steps.

Using the Headphones

Supports music playback, phone calls, and voice assistant access.

  1. Play/Pause Music: Press the MULTIFUNCTION button once.
  2. Skip Track: Press the MULTIFUNCTION button twice quickly to skip forward; press three times to skip back.
  3. Adjust Volume: Use VOLUME UP/DOWN buttons.
  4. Answer/End Call: Press MULTIFUNCTION button once.
  5. Reject Call: Press and hold MULTIFUNCTION button for 2 seconds.
  6. Activate Voice Assistant: Press and hold MULTIFUNCTION button until you hear a tone (Siri, Google Assistant, etc.).
  7. Wired Mode: Connect the audio cable to the headphones and your device when battery is low.

WARNING! Do not use headphones at high volume for extended periods to prevent hearing damage.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug cables before cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth to clean surfaces.

CAUTION! Do not use liquids, solvents, or abrasive cleaners. Store in the carrying case when not in use. Avoid exposing headphones to direct sunlight, high humidity, or extreme temperatures.
