Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect all components. Plan speaker placement for optimal sound.

  1. Place cube speakers: Front left/right at ear level, angled toward listening area. Center speaker above/below TV. Surround speakers to sides or slightly behind listening position.
  2. Place Acoustimass module: Can be located along a wall, in a corner, or concealed (not in enclosed cabinet). Ensure at least 6 inches clearance from walls.
  3. Connect speaker wires: Use provided cables; match colors/letters to terminals on module and speakers.
  4. Connect to receiver: Use standard speaker wire from module outputs to corresponding receiver channels.

WARNING! Speakers are heavy; use care when mounting. Ensure secure connections to avoid shorts.

First-Time Setup

Power on your audio/video receiver; configure speaker settings.

  1. Set receiver speaker size: Set all channels to "Small" (common setting to route bass to Acoustimass module).
  2. Set crossover: Typically 80-100 Hz; adjust based on room acoustics.
  3. Run auto-calibration: If receiver has room correction (e.g., Audyssey), follow its instructions.
  4. Test each speaker: Use receiver's test tone to ensure all channels are working.
  5. Adjust bass level: Use module control or receiver's bass management for desired low-frequency impact.

CAUTION! Do not connect speakers directly to wall outlet or high-voltage sources.

Controls and Connections

Primary control via your audio/video receiver. Acoustimass module may have a bass level control knob.

Module Connections: Labeled terminals for Front Left/Right, Center, Surround Left/Right inputs (from receiver) and corresponding outputs to cube speakers.

Receiver Settings: Volume, balance, tone controls, crossover, delay/distance, channel levels.

Note: No standalone power switch on speakers; they are powered by your receiver.

Connecting to Audio/Video Receivers

Use standard speaker wire (16-18 gauge recommended).

  1. Turn off and unplug receiver.
  2. Connect receiver's front left/right, center, and surround outputs to corresponding INPUT terminals on Acoustimass module.
  3. Connect cube speakers to OUTPUT terminals on module using provided cables (match colors/letters).
  4. Ensure positive/negative polarity is maintained (usually marked +/– or color-coded).
  5. Plug in and power on receiver.

Tip: Keep speaker wires away from power cables to reduce interference.

Operation & Sound Adjustment

Once connected, operate system via your receiver's remote.

  1. Select source: Choose Blu-ray, streaming, TV, etc., on receiver.
  2. Adjust volume: Use receiver's volume control.
  3. Select sound mode: Choose stereo, Dolby Digital, DTS, etc., based on content.
  4. Fine-tune bass: Adjust module's bass control (if present) or receiver's subwoofer level.
  5. Balance channels: Use receiver's test tone and level adjustments to ensure consistent volume from all speakers.

WARNING! Avoid excessive volume to prevent speaker damage and hearing loss.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug receiver before cleaning. Use dry, soft cloth for cube speakers and module. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Do not place liquids on or near speakers. Protect from extreme temperatures and moisture.
