Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface or mount securely.

  1. Choose location: Ensure stable, level surface away from heat sources and moisture.
  2. Mounting (optional): Use compatible wall brackets or stands; follow bracket instructions.
  3. Connect speaker wire: Strip insulation, insert into binding posts ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Connect to amplifier: Match left/right channels to amplifier outputs.

WARNING! Speakers are heavy; lift with care to avoid injury. Ensure all connections are secure before powering on.

First-Time Setup

Connect to amplifier and power on system.

  1. Check polarity: Ensure red (+) on speaker matches red (+) on amplifier for each channel.
  2. Position speakers: Place at ear level, angled slightly inward toward listening position.
  3. Set amplifier volume: Start at minimum, gradually increase to desired level.
  4. Test sound: Play audio source to verify both speakers are working correctly.

CAUTION! Do not overpower speakers; keep amplifier volume within recommended range to prevent damage.

Specifications

Controls and Connections

No active controls on speaker. All adjustments made via amplifier or source device.

Binding Posts: Red (+) and black (-) 5-way posts accept bare wire, spade lugs, banana plugs, or pin connectors.

Amplifier Settings: Balance, tone controls (bass/treble), volume. Speaker requires no internal settings.

Ported Enclosure: Rear-firing port; ensure at least 6 inches clearance from walls for optimal bass.

Connecting to Amplifiers

Use high-quality speaker wire (16-gauge or thicker recommended).

  1. Turn off amplifier and unplug from power.
  2. Strip 1/2 inch insulation from wire ends.
  3. Connect wire to speaker: Red to red (+), black to black (-).
  4. Connect other end to amplifier: Match left/right channels and polarity.
  5. Secure connections: Tighten binding posts to prevent loose wires.

Tip: For bi-wiring (if supported), remove jumper bars and use separate cables for woofer and tweeter.

Optimal Placement

Position affects sound quality significantly.

  1. Stereo pair: Place speakers 6-10 feet apart, forming equilateral triangle with listening position.
  2. Height: Tweeters at ear level when seated (approx. 3-4 feet from floor).
  3. Distance from walls: At least 6 inches from rear wall, 2 feet from side walls to reduce bass buildup.
  4. Toe-in: Angle speakers inward 15-30 degrees toward listening area for improved imaging.
  5. Isolation: Use rubber feet or isolation pads to decouple from surfaces and reduce vibrations.

WARNING! Avoid placing near heat vents, radiators, or in direct sunlight to prevent damage.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug amplifier before cleaning. Use dry, soft cloth only; no liquids or abrasive cleaners.

Grille Care: Remove gently by pulling from corners; clean with soft brush or vacuum with brush attachment.

Driver Care: Do not touch woofer or tweeter diaphragms; use compressed air to remove dust if needed.

CAUTION! Do not spray liquids; keep away from moisture and extreme temperatures.
