  4. Remove protective packaging materials from drivers and terminals.

WARNING! Handle speakers with care; they are heavy. Use two people for lifting and placement.

Speaker Placement

Proper placement is critical for optimal direct/reflecting sound.

  1. Place speakers in the listening room with the angled driver facing the nearest side wall.
  2. Position speakers at ear level when seated for best performance.

  5. Keep speakers away from corners to avoid excessive bass.

CAUTION! Do not place speakers where they may be knocked over. Ensure stable surface.

Specifications

Connecting to Your System

Connect speakers to amplifier/receiver using high-quality speaker wire.

  1. Turn off and unplug amplifier/receiver.
  2. Strip 1/2 inch (12 mm) of insulation from each wire end.
  3. Connect positive (+) terminal on amplifier to positive (+) terminal on speaker (typically red).
  4. Connect negative (–) terminal on amplifier to negative (–) terminal on speaker (typically black).
  5. Ensure connections are tight and secure at both ends.
  6. Repeat for second speaker, maintaining consistent polarity.

Tip: Use identical length and type of wire for both speakers. Keep wires away from power cords.

Operation and Listening

For best performance, follow these guidelines.

  1. Turn on amplifier/receiver and set volume to minimum.
  2. Play music at moderate volume initially to allow speakers to break in.
  3. Adjust balance control on amplifier to ensure equal output from both speakers.
  4. Experiment with speaker placement and toe-in angle to optimize soundstage.
  5. For critical listening, ensure room acoustics are considered (rugs, curtains, furniture).

WARNING! Do not exceed recommended amplifier power. Avoid playing distorted signals at high volume.

Care and Maintenance

Clean speakers with dry, soft cloth only. Do not use liquids or chemical cleaners.

To remove grille: Gently pull from bottom corners. Clean grille with soft brush if needed.

CAUTION! Do not puncture speaker cones. Keep magnets away from electronic devices and magnetic media.
