Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Place media center and speakers in desired locations.

  1. Connect speakers: Attach cube speakers to Acoustimass module using color-coded cables.
  2. Connect media center: Use provided cables to connect media center to TV (video) and Acoustimass module (audio).
  3. Connect external sources: Use audio inputs for cable/satellite box, gaming console, etc.
  4. Connect power: Plug media center and Acoustimass module into AC outlets.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation around media center. Do not place speakers in enclosed cabinets.

First-Time Setup

Power on system; follow on-screen prompts.

  3. Source setup: Program universal remote for connected components (TV, cable box).

Controls and Settings

Access OSD via remote MENU button. Front Panel: POWER, EJECT, VOLUME, SOURCE SELECT.

Remote: POWER, Numeric buttons, MENU, NAVIGATION arrows, SELECT, VOLUME, MUTE, TRANSPORT controls (PLAY, STOP, etc.), INPUT SELECT.

Audio Settings: Bass control, Tone (treble/bass balance), Loudness compensation. Video Settings: TV type (4:3, 16:9), output format. System Settings: Language, clock, sleep timer, parental controls (default code may be 0000 or 1111). Tuner Settings: Auto-scan, manual tune, station presets.

Connecting Devices

TV: Use composite or S-Video cable from media center to TV. External Audio: Connect cable/satellite box, game console to audio inputs.

  1. Turn off all components before connecting.
  2. Match cable colors to jacks (yellow-video, red/white-audio).
  3. Select source on media center (DVD, AUX, TUNER).

Tip: For best video quality, use S-Video connection if your TV supports it.

Playing Media

Supports DVD-Video, audio CDs, MP3 CDs.

  1. Insert disc: Press EJECT, place disc label-side up in tray.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; use numeric buttons for direct track access.
  3. Navigation: Use arrow buttons for menu navigation; SELECT to choose.
  4. Special functions: REPEAT, RANDOM, PROGRAM play modes.
  5. Audio modes: Stereo, simulated surround sound.
  6. Display: Press DISPLAY for playback information.
  7. Resume: Some discs resume from last stop point.

WARNING! Do not move system during disc playback. Use only compatible media types.
